Conductus Platform — Terms of Service

1. What Conductus Is

Conductus is a Software as a Service (SaaS) platform that connects licensed funeral homes and licensed removal services for the purpose of coordinating decedent removal and transport. Conductus is not a funeral home, removal service, or transportation company. Conductus does not employ or control the removal services operating on the platform. All services are performed by independent, licensed organizations.

2. Who May Use This Platform

Access to Conductus is limited to licensed organizations in good standing under applicable state law. By creating an account, you represent that your organization holds a current, valid license issued by the Tennessee Board of Funeral Directors and Embalmers, and that all license information submitted to Conductus is accurate and complete.

3. Licensing Verification

All organizations must submit their license ID number, certificate serial number, expiration date, and a photo of their license certificate. Conductus reserves the right to suspend or terminate access for any organization whose license cannot be verified or has expired.

4. Provider Obligations (Removal Service Provider)

• 4.1 Respond to submitted requests within 90 seconds when set to “available” on the platform
• 4.2 Fulfill all accepted trips professionally and in a timely manner
• 4.3 Respond to all system-required prompts to advance trip status
• 4.4 Provide a written explanation if arrival at pickup location exceeds the estimated arrival time by 90 or more minutes — this explanation is required before the trip can be completed and payment processed
• 4.5 Remain reachable by phone or text during active trips and respond promptly to direct contact from the requesting party

5. Requester Obligations (Funeral Home)

• 5.1 Submit accurate and complete request information
• 5.2 Maintain a valid payment method on file at all times
• 5.3 Pay the approved trip amount upon completion
• 5.4 Remain reachable by phone or text for the duration of an active request and respond promptly to direct contact from the provider
• 5.5 Requests that receive no provider response within 90 seconds are automatically returned. No charge is assessed for unaccepted requests.

6. Pricing and Payment

All pricing is calculated transparently based on mileage and handling fees established at the time of request. A platform coordination fee of $10.00 per trip is charged by Conductus. Payment is processed automatically at trip completion. Conductus uses Stripe to process payments securely.

7. Disputes

Conductus is a virtual platform and is not a party to disputes between requesters and providers. In cases of alleged damage, mishandling, or non-performance, parties are responsible for resolving claims directly or through appropriate legal channels. All payments are processed and held by Stripe, an independent third-party payment processor. Conductus does not hold, escrow, or control funds beyond the point of payment processing and has no ability or obligation to reverse completed transactions.

8. Limitation of Liability

Conductus provides software infrastructure only. Conductus makes no warranties regarding the quality, timeliness, or outcome of services performed by providers on the platform. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Conductus's liability arising from any single transaction is limited to the platform coordination fee collected for that transaction. Liability arising from Conductus's own errors or platform failures will be evaluated separately on a case-by-case basis.

9. Termination

Conductus reserves the right to suspend or terminate access for any organization that violates these terms, allows its license to expire, or engages in conduct that endangers the integrity of the platform or the people it serves.

10. Changes to These Terms

Conductus may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform following notice of changes constitutes acceptance.
